**public void announcement() {**

//you wake you up to a text from your friends

//about work, about navigating life, should I wear lipstick to the interview?

//maybe you didn’t woke up,

//fine, it’s noon, you are in the kitchen, you don’t follow news

//why would you, another woman is killed today

//the stories arrive at the doorbell of your head with the same tune

//yet you know, you know, you can feel it, each one is not like the other

//each one carries a trail of suffering splashed like the sea when the hurricane hits

//the walls built to contain it.

//Each one a reminder in your body.

//As if we didn’t had a suspicion that any day can be a call to you

//instead of their mom, sister, grandma and friends.

//Any day might be you.

//As if murder has not reason, he did it because, the officer said

//He, is standing there, he is shown in photos passed around

//He has no comment on remorse, he is 21 years old.

//He had an addiction, he got a gun, he drove.

//This is why you don’t follow the news

//you think and text your friends to make sure they are okay

//and they are, what? we are okay.

//What happened, who were they, I don’t know, we are still

//to know anything but women and massage parlor

//We are still to know if they drove if they had a good day

//Can you imagine?
