What’s left

February 21, 2022

We already tried distracted

We already tried disconnection

We already tried alcohol

We already tried to escape in stories

We already tried to be angry at the world

We already lashed out

We already tried closing doors,

shelling in

We already tried inconsistencies

And we tried sorrows our own and those of others

We already tried discontent and cynicism

So what’s left dear soul? Should we surrender to your mystery?
